I posted a 1 star earlier because I didn't think the app was open. Turns out, I didn't understand where to look. After pressing open, look in the menu bar. All application features are controled from there. The app works as advertised. Great idea. A launch splash screen with directions to look in the menu bar would be a good addition.
Thank you for the app. I have been using it for more than 1 year. Mostly, for daily facial expression management.
Still, I have one feature request: hide Reaview while mouse hovering over it so users don't have to move the window from time to time.
Really appreciate that if it could be implemented.
This is the best app of its kind, and I recommend it. However, in an update you added the emoji and stated that it was instead of the sound alerts. Can you please add the ability to have both?
My settings never save. The app starts on reboot, but is never enabled. The camera always defaults to the built in one, not my external, the emoji never is where I left it. I should have to do 3 things to use this every time I start my computer.
Perfect camera for gamers, presentation makers & remote workers.

REMOTE WORKERS
Rearview is easily accessible from menubar which make it perfect tool for checking if everything is OK before joining video-call on Slack, Zoom or Hangouts. You can check how you look, light angle and what is behind you.
Another use case is situation when you work in public places.
Nobody likes when someone behind is staring at your screen. Doesn't matter if it is your boss or nosy person in the cafe. Rearview solves this problem by using emoji - alarm.
When emoji alarm mode is started, app captures image from camera and analyses how many faces are detected. If everything is fine, there is "Sunglasses"emoji visible. When unexpected face is detected Rearview shows "Scream" emoji. You can set number of faces to play alarm or hide "Sunglasses" emoji if you find it disturbing.
App is adjusted for light and dark mode since MacOS Mojave. It works automatically when you change your appearance in system preferences.
---PRIVACY POLICY---
