Great content, but app is missing features
The one major detraction from this app is the fact that it always wants to autoplay the next episode. It is extremely important, imo, that *every* streaming app on *every* platform, have the *option* to autoplay the next episode or not. What if I fall asleep while watching? What if a movie or show has scenes in middle of credits? And if I get distracted for 2 seconds at end of episode, bam, next episode is playing before I can stop it. Another missing feature is "Watch party". This is not nearly as a big a deal for me, but it is a popular feature. Finally, for me, I would very much prefer that when I select a show from "Up Next" section, it would go to the show's page, rather than play an episode. As it is, I can tap or click and hold, then select "View Details", which is faaarrrr better than what some other streaming services do, but still, I would prefer to just go to show's page, and have click and hold bring up other options. All that said, the content so far is all great, so not a bad subscription. I do hope shows here don't end on cliffhangers, that's another thing I absolutely hate. Other reviewers here have mentioned the service not saving watched progress. I've tried it between Roku and my iPad, and it *is* saving the point I stopped watching an episode. Maybe it didn't do this before, but it is now.

Without a doubt, the worst experience any streaming service has ever provided.
I can’t believe Apple has released something in this state. I paid for the monthly service, I attempted to watch the show on my tv, constantly buffering and not a single other app has issues (I have gigabit internet). The tv app changes my picture settings every time I turn it on to dark for some reason (how and why is this happening?!), constantly glitching for microseconds, which doesn’t sound like much but anytime there is music, the beat is all over the place and it is infuriating. I switched to watching via my Roku, and it’s more of the same. The absolute only way I can get any video to play properly is to play it on my phone via Airplay. I have reset my router, reset my tv and Roku, I even cleared the cache on my tv. To no avail. As soon as my tv show is done I am canceling this service instantly. I have used an iPhone for over a decade and paid a bit extra because it just worked and was always a smooth experience. This has been the worst experience out of any streaming service I have ever tried. I currently have 5 other streaming services I utilize and that’s not even including the free ones, which unfortunately, blow AppleTV+ out of the water, from a technical side and more importantly, the user experience. The absolute atrocious UX is actually so bad, I’m not even mad, I’m just disappointed. Do better Apple.

Terrible Redesign!
Wow…Talk about taking an amazing app and completely destroying one of the main purposes for using an Apple TV, Up Next. Now, you are bombarded with Apple TV+ shows trying to get you to buy or watch them. The Up Next feature (which was the best part of having an Apple TV) is now a shell of what it once was and is no longer a focus for the user. Instead, you are now offered a small thumbnail of your Up Next carousel in the top 1/3 of the screen, with the lower 2/3 being advertisements for Apple TV+ shows. You no longer get any previews or artwork for Up Next, just that little square box. This terrible change by whomever approved this disaster actually has me questioning if it’s now even worth to have the Apple TV since features are being taken away. Almost all TV’s today are smart and have the Apple TV+ app, so the worth of the Apple TV is pretty moot if they remove or no longe care about one of the main reasons for having it. Instead of continuing to provide an amazing customer experience, Apple has opted to force you to see what they want you to see, and when, for their own personal gain. I’m not sure who this redesign is for, but Apple TV owners don’t buy an Apple TV for the TV+ app, they buy an Apple TV because it is the only product that provides you a unified experience and watch list that is continuously updated. Apple called it Up Next, and it was amazing before greed took over.

Not happy w/ price raise.
Sad to see another streaming service raising its prices. Some are absolutely outrageous and if u have the 8 most popular ones well for u kids who don’t know about cable lol your experiencing why we were so excited about streaming services in the first place. Cable was so expensive but now with everything network practically having its own service and prices going up all the time. I am paying about the same that I had when I had cable but my Wi-Fi was included with it. Lol idk Apple TV is great and if you can can afford all these extras good for you they are nice. I just can’t justify paying all this money and half the time I don’t use them and when I go to I can’t find anything I actually want to watch at least not more than a movie or a show. I don’t feel like there alit if greasy and actually interesting enough choices. But agin this is my opinion and I do think Apple TV compared to most other streaming services does have alit of good shows. When you get on there isn’t a ton of choices like some but everything is good so that makes up for it. I wish I had the extra cash but as much as I love Apple TV I’ll have to cancel my subscription after this month.

MLS Season Pass destroys the joy of watching soccer
The only way that you can watch a game on MLS Season Pass is if you watch it live and never have to pause for prolonged periods of time, but live is hardly predictable. If you ever leave and have to come back it restarts the game from the beginning, not from where you were. Then if you were unlucky enough to not get back to the game before it finished you have the same problem as those who weren’t able to catch the game at all. That problem is not having the final score plastered all over the place before you have even watched the game. The whole point is to watch the game to find out the score not the other way around. An easy fix would be to give those fans that don’t want spoilers a settings option when they pick their favorite team so that the joy of the game is maintained. Also for the away coverage having to hear the announcers for the other team when they are so ardently only talking about their team and not making it a nationwide coverage, which is what it has ended up becoming, is not enjoyable. I was so excited when Apple got this contract, but have been gravely disappointed. The games are unwatchable. I really hope that Apple is able to correct these things so that I am able to enjoy the games that I am unable to attend.

Selena Gomez My mind and Me
I found myself both emotional and enlightened by this movie. It touched so many emotions that felt while growing up and, unfortunately, even now. Selena is such a beautiful soul, plus she is extremely talented and so very strong to share what she has lived with! It’s good to know I am not alone with my horrific bouts of debilitating anxiety and stress that pretty much cripples me at times. It also runs in my family, some handle better than others and it can start, very early in life! How much better I could have been had I known where my debilitating thoughts, fears, and reactions came from. Now I feel hopeful for myself and my family. This CAN be addressed and we can all look forward to a wonderful “normal” and happily fulfilling life! Thank you, Selena! You just gave me a life! By the way, before this film,I already adored your music and talent. You always had that “something extra”! It comes SHINING THROUGH! Ps…l LOVE you in “Only Murders in the Building “ and your fantastic, lovable beautiful costars, Steve Martin and Martin Short!!! You’re perfect with each other and my family and I excitedly await each episode! Please keep them coming and keep on singing and writing songs!!🕊️❤️😍LOVE YOU🥰

The Black Hole
One has to view this movie from the perspective of the time in which it was made in terms of special effects and production. With that being said, it’s one of my favorites from the late 70s. Or is it the early 80s? It was released in December 1979. So we’re at the end of one decade and the start of another. All in all it’s a fun movie. I was a young kid when this came out and certain elements scared me like the abandoned crew quarters with personal property left behind along with the robotic crew that turns out aren’t so robotic after all. This is one of those films that you can’t overthink about. Just enjoy it. This is from that era when everybody in film and television we’re getting into the sci-fi genre after the success of Star Wars i.e. Battle Star Galactica, the Flash Gordon remake although the original was an inspiration for Star Wars, Battle Beyond the Stars, the Buck Rogers remake. Again, another inspiration for Star Wars. The start of the Star Trek movie franchise. Ignore the science and don’t overthink it as stated above. Just imagine that you’re a ten year old in 1979 who’s seeing this movie for the first time.

The young and the restless
I have watched the young and the restless from the very first show. I have loved and admired Victor from the very beginning he has been the main character of the show that held my attention I really enjoyed the show when Nikki was a dancer, and Victor fell in love with her and married her. That was the very first beginning of the show that took off like a rocket. My prayers and thoughts will be with Victor, or I should say Eric Braeden. During his illness. I will be praying that they find all of the cancer and remove it and that he will be able to return to the show. My heart breaks for him. Please give him my love and appreciation for all the hours I’ve spent watching the show mainly because of him. He holds the show together like glue. I am wondering if Victoria will be the one to take over the company and take Victors place Or perhaps she and Nick well battle over who is the president of the company. I love everyone on the young and the restless, and think all of them for giving me the pleasure of feeling like I know everyone of you. To me, you are my friends. Sincerely, Tamm

Apple TV
It’s a great app to just sit back and relax and watch and old movie from the past. Cause the one I just watched was Brother Bear and once in a while it catches my tears that it’s still such a great movie about brotherhood and the best line is when Dehani tells Kenai no matter what he chooses your always going to be my little brother. And that line is the best one yet. But yeah mainly it’s a great escape to find that movie and tv show comfort and closure about these moments and helps me realize. That when watching those old movies from growing up always gives us such a huge impact on our adult lives and I have many but one of them was what I just discussed briefly. And so yeah keep up the great work, the amazing art work, and making those movies a reality and maybe someday in this future of ours we’re going into could make a movie about Apple TV and how it got all of our favorite ones streaming including how it all started before it became an app. So yeah Thank You and Have Mercy. And keep being you.

Quite behind the times
Has very little to offer. Does not keep your settings so as an example, if you want subtitles you have to turn them on each time. Does not auto-play the next episode. Really seems behind in comparison to others. I’m also quite disappointed at the selection; it’s very limited. Very long drawn-out ads at the beginning and if you miss the skip button (which disappears very quickly) you have to sit through several minutes of repetitive stuff. Also, without auto-play, you have to wait for long sequences of credits for every languages. Just poorly designed without ease of use in mind. If you don’t skip through the credits, when you return to the menu-screen, it has difficulty moving ahead to the next screen. Not intuitive, if I close the window and come back, I often have to search for what I was previously watching all over again. Makes recommendations but they are never good. Just because I click on something doesn’t mean that I enjoyed it so what are the recommendations based on? Don’t you generally watch a portion of something to determine if you liked it or not? I am new to it but I’ve already cancelled my subscription. I expected much more from Apple.

Needs organization
It feels unjustified to say the shows and movies on this platform are amazing. They are literally some of my favorite productions across ALL platforms and it’s not even up for debate. The only issue I have is they are trying to mesh together Apple TV and other platforms. I wish there was a way to browse ONLY Apple TV+ movies and shows in a more organized fashion. I think the app could benefit from “Genres”, “Actors”, “A-Z”, etc. tabs. Also it would be amazing to let fans know of there’s a new season of our favorite shows in the works. I would LOVE to see more of shows like Foundation, Invasion, After Party, and their other nature documentaries with follow-up seasons and I fear that we may never see them. To be able to have a little insight on the future plans of productions would be greatly appreciated across all platforms and it would be nice to see this one adopt that as well. This is one of my favorite streaming platforms and it just needs the slightest bit of touch-ups here and there but the content is on point!

Just another reason why I love iPhone
The Apple TV app is phenomenal. I love how all of my apps are connected, with the exception of Netflix, and serves as a universal hub for all of my shows. I love iOS and the UI it offers the customer so I am very happy this Apple continues to invest in this app. Also, the Apple TV shows are excellent, and the new Apple TV+ section makes it easier to find all the latest shows and films. My only concern/hope for the future would be to access the content directly from the Apple TV app without being redirected to the native app. For example, being able to open a Disney+ show without having to be redirected to the Disney+ app itself. Otherwise, I love this app and I hope it continues to grow. I hope to see a lot more shows, movies, and maybe even sports (the English Premier League would be a dream come true). Regardless, I have much hope for the future of this app and I am excited to see just how far Apple will go with it.

Love TV+, Not a Fan of the App.
I love the shows on Apple TV+. However, I seem to have the most issues with the Apple TV app of all the streaming/entertainment apps I use. For something made by Apple, this confuses me. It’s little annoyances like how you can’t just view all the episodes of a show easily, you have to search for it and then make sure you don’t choose the option to resume the current episode. Also, there really should just be a toggle for Apple TV+ shows instead of having to navigate the one page. Or, make a search bar appear at the top of the page like in Music, Settings, etc. I also seem to have a lot of issues with the desktop app on my M1 MacBook Air. The app refuses to load the shows for some reason, it loves to freeze in the middle of an episode or movie, and the app will become unresponsive regularly or even crash upon opening. I can’t be the only one having these issues. TL;DR: Apple TV+ shows are fantastic, but I hope Apple will work to make the navigation of their apps more consistent and put the same level of detail/love into each one in the coming OS.

Almost perfect
The design falls in line with everything else Apple, the navigation too, making it a seamless and easy experience for the user. The groundbreaking concept of having it all under one roof and being able to just continue watching from where you left off without having to go to different apps, or having one wish list (up next) versus several is definitely mesmerizing, if it only worked perfectly all the time. If the user watches their shows in multiple different platforms (such as Google TV or Prime Video) or in certain specific apps (HBO ;Max, for instance), their views won’t compute in the Apple TV app, which makes the entire experience a bucket of frustration as the app will send you to the last episode viewed from that app, and not to the episode you last actually watched on Prime, or HBO, for instance. Add that to the fact they are not synching up content from Netflix, and things get really annoying! Still, I give this 4 stars as it made the tv viewing experience that much better!

Apple Doesn’t Want Real Feedback
Ever notice how- in a world or ratings and reviews- Apple offers no option for reviews of its movies and shows? Why do you think that is? (Hint: Apple never takes blame or admits fault.) For instance, if I were to review the movie The Family Plan, I’d say it’s a tired story repeating the same tropes about men. The movies opens with a wife who has everything but still manages to complain about her otherwise perfect husband. And why? Because he’s not spontaneous enough. Yes. Another woman who has shifted the responsibility of her mental/emotional state to a man. No apologies given or responsibility taken. And then, when the husband reveals who he is, his past sins, he’s it left in the cold. Judged to be unworthy of the family he served and loved. And the only cure for the husband is to beg and promise change. This happens every single day across America. And it’s so commonplace, so accepted, no one questions it. Women = beautiful and strong. Men = trash. Unless that man flies a flag. Of course. This is what I would write if Apple gave me the opportunity. But they don’t want to hear it. Apple wants to force a worldview down our throats until we are brainwashed into it. “Make them laugh and they’ll accept the trash.”

Higher subscriber fees and too long to release subsequent seasons
Apple upped the subscription price to 10 bucks a month to pay for more and better content. Killers of the Flower Moon was originally supposed to go pretty quickly to subscribers, but now that it’s more popular the option is to pay to rent or buy -higher subscriber fees paid to make it but we don’t get to see it for how long??? Seems pretty unfair to me. The more popular the show, the more likely there will be a long wait for the next season to keep you subscribed. The downside is not liking what is being released and only caring about one show. Then there is what happened with the story arc on The Morning Show. The release was held so long that the story line is dated and no longer as relevant or interesting. I don’t know the impact of the strikes, but holding seasons happened before the strikes started. Where are the shows I like and new seasons have been made but they aren’t shown. Teheran? Trying? Pachinko? Not everyone is a fan of sci-fi, but there is a glut.

Apple TV is a great streaming service that has a lot of amazing shows and movies to choose from. Not only that, but it's also incredibly easy to use, which is a big plus for anyone who wants to sit back and enjoy their favorite content without any hassle. The user interface of Apple TV is very intuitive and user-friendly. It's easy to navigate through the different menus and find the content you're looking for. You can browse through the available shows and movies by genre, search for a specific title, or even ask Siri to help you find something to watch. But what really sets Apple TV apart is the quality of its content. From critically acclaimed dramas to family-friendly comedies, there's something for everyone on this platform. Some of the standout shows that are worth watching include "The Morning Show," "Ted Lasso," "Servant," "For All Mankind," and "Dickinson." One of the things I appreciate about Apple TV is the way it presents its shows and movies. The platform doesn't bombard you with a lot of clutter and ads like some other streaming services. Instead, it focuses on the quality of the content and the user experience. Overall, I highly recommend Apple TV to anyone who loves watching TV shows and movies. It's easy to use, has a lot of great content, and offers an enjoyable viewing experience. If you're looking for a new streaming service to try, give Apple TV a chance!

thank you for fixing your revised app
last night i was able to watch the credits on your roku tv app. I must watch credits. it's like reading a book without the cover and copyright page, listening to an album without liner notes. maybe it was just me, pressing buttons in the wrong directions, but i'm happy again, and continue to believe for the most part your productions are works of genius. Pachinko, Home Before Dark, See, Tehran, Shantaram, Black Bird, Slow Horses, The Mosquito Coast, For All Mankind, Truth Be Told, The Last Days of Ptolemy Grey, The Essex Surface, Shining Girls, Invasion, Foundation, Dr Brain, love them all, not even mentioning the comedies, Ted Lasso, and the documentaries: Selena Gomez: My Mind & Me, Louis Armstrong's Black and Blue, and the full-length films, The Causeway, The Banker, Greyhound, Finch, Coda, Palmer, Cherry, The Tragedy of MacBeth (was hoping for Best Picture Oscar, it was brilliant.) Thank you for remembering everyone involved in the production of film deserves a credit that can be seen.

Please Revamp Up Next
The Apple TV app is one of my favorite Apple Apps. I use an Apple TV device to stream content. I love how am an able to integrate content from multiple streaming services via the Apple TV app. It’s awesome. I think if more people knew about the synchronization of shows/movies via the Apple TV app, then more people would buy an Apple TV. As far as improvements, I would like you to revamp the Up Next section. I like that new episodes appear at the top of list when available, but I have to continuously swipe right to view more titles. I would like the option to “View All” titles in my Up Next list without swiping. There needs to be a separate section that lists all saved content. I see a future where Apple TV+ models other streaming services by having separate user profiles with their individual “Up Next” sections. I also see Apple taking it a step further and partnering with a TV manufacturer and packaging Apple TV in their TV models. Apple would be the #1 streaming service if Apple users saw how easily Apple TV combines all their streaming services, music, photos, etc. Apple is capable of revolutionizing literal televisions and streaming services.

Up Next Needs to Be Full Screen
Decent app overall, I enjoy being able to save shows I’m interested in, and have the most recent episodes updated when a new one arrives to continue watching. My feedback is that the Up Next section should be expandable to view a full grid format with a “See More” button so it’s easier to scroll through the content you’ve saved. The current layout only allows you to view your entire content list in a single row, which is inefficient and time-consuming to get to a show or movie you had bookmarked much earlier than the newest items. This design choice is puzzling because it’s the only aspect of the entire interface that’s set up this way, with most other horizontal lists offering the option to “See More”, and present their content in a way that’s easier to navigate. Please fix this issue and I will certainly rate this 5 stars because that app itself is so handy. Until then, I will likely resort to other media watchlist apps like JustWatch, WatchAid, or Plex Watchlist.

The iPad app player needs to add gesture support
I do love this app but when watching on my iPad I really wish it had gesture support for fast forward and rewind…I always go to double click or swipe at the side of the screen and when I accidentally swipe the whole video player flies away! I don’t understand how an Apple made app can have such a disappointing and bare-bones video player at this point in time. The in-player buttons are also really quite small. I do love all of the original content they’re putting out and the channel subscription options we now have, but the search algorithms need some work. I subscribe to a few different channels that have lots of documentary options, but searching by general subject etc. never really works. The way the search option seems to work is to just find something you already know the title of, and to me that is just a bit disappointing. I expect a bit more from Apple at this point. It should be much much easier to find what you are looking for on a native Apple app.

Apple TV app
This review is gonna be biased. Because I am an Apple person through and through. Having the Apple TV app connected to my iPad my MacBook Pro my families Apple devices and my Apple TV 4K streaming box. How this all connects together is amazing to me. The ease of use of pausing it on my phone and going to my TV and in starting it from there or to another device is amazing and the ease of use of Apple products is bar none. Apple really has simplified their products so the common person that doesn’t know anything about computers can just about pick it up and work it. My parents that are in their late 70s I’ve called them iPhones and iPads and Apple TV and with zero computer or electronic knowledge was able to operate these devices with a 30 minute training course for me. Tim Cook and the team at Apple in Cupertino, keep up the great work and I’m looking forward to the next innovation you and the team come up with.

Good and useful
The TV app is surprisingly well-made! It's good enough as a way to merge all the iTunes video content into one place, but being able to search for that content on other streaming services and compare prices? That's a GODSEND. Good on Apple for taking that step when no other provider seemed to want to. I know it's ultimately just another step toward owning as much of the non-gaming media industry as they can without tripping monopoly laws, but honestly, it's going to happen soon at this point. Between Apple, Disney, and AOL-TimeWarner-HBO-Pizza Hut-Taco Bell-IDK-probably-Monsanto-or-something, I'll take the former any day of the week. No but seriously, why am I being asked to review built-in apps? This company has never considered post-launch customer feedback unless all forms of distraction have failed and/or they've lost a class-action lawsuit. Why would they start now?

Store Move is Awful
Apple made a lot off of me from buying tv and movies through the iTunes app. Now, I cannot locate shows or see offferibgs like before. And not having text under thumbnails is not user friendly, as a picture is not enough for someone visually impaired. The wishlist I had previously was a curated gem. A lot of people bought things as they checked them off their wishlist. Who decided to scrap it? And finally, your UX looks like it was completed as a class project. It is difficult to use, and I am offended that I cannot go directly to my purchased library. Having to see your busy Apple TV service to get to my own library just makes me resentful and determined not to spend money on things. We don’t all want to overspend for your small streaming library. Raising your prices was unmerited, as you are not offering quality shows in return. Finally, Apple itself has gone from innovative to a cash grab. You are losing customers by not being thought into your changes. As for now, looks like I am about to save a lot of money not using your Store. Thanks, I guess. It’s a shame.

Apple TV check-mark☑️ bug
Multiple iOS updates and there’s still this bug where I go to ‘mark episode as watched’ and the check mark icon will not appear. Both iPhone and iPad Pro suffer with this bug. Even the ‘mark all episodes as watched’ is buggy cause all episodes aren’t marked with the check mark icon. Force close doesn’t fix it, force restart doesn’t fix it and apparently iOS updates doesn’t fix it. Even removing the series from ‘Up next’ and deleting episodes from ‘recently watched’ and then selecting the option doesn’t fix it. Also, selecting the ‘Mark as watched’ option repeatedly doesn’t work. Here’s what it looks like: Ep1☑️ Ep2 Ep3☑️ Ep4 Ep5 Ep6☑️…and so on. Over at Apple support community the problem is mentioned as well. Years of “bug fixes & improvements” but all that’s delivered is MORE BUGS & PROBLEMS! We’re on iOS 17 for goodness sake. Basic FUNDAMENTAL operations, actions, inputs, features – pick your poison – for some reason are never up-kept, maintained, but malfunction frequently. Rant discontinued. Oh look, my rant has a bug too.

Greed
The previous review complained about Apple greed and I have to agree. Apple‘s greed is the overwhelming force behind everything they do all of the apps on the phone I’ve had a 12+ max for a couple years and I can’t tell you that it really does anything differently than my iPhone 4s. It’s not like iOS works very well. Every time they update it there’s something else wrong with it. iOS is possibly the worst operating system I’ve ever seen it doesn’t work. They ruined speech to text recently. I know how they do that. They manage to take things that work perfectly well, and for the sake of change, that’s all they change them and ruin them. I don’t know anyone that seems to really know what Apple TV is for. Is it hardware? Is it software? What is it for? I can do everything I need to do with my Roku and a few other things maybe with my fire stick. But Apple TV is a mystery. Is there an Apple TV app that you can buy movies and stuff on? Nobody I know knows. Just like I can’t see a purpose for Apple TV. I’m beginning to not see any purpose for an iPhone. I have $1500 that week. The end of Apple for me.

Boring and scam don’t download
Warning, this app is not what it seems. Delete this app from your iPad or iPhone immediately, because this app is scamming you for money, and it is very boring. I went on there to look for a movie that was kid friendly which was the little mermaid, but it told me I had to rent it or buy it, wow Apple, I can’t believe you would scam people into giving you money, you’re already rich billionaires, why do you need more money? You’re just a big old greedy company, that will have no future because they only want the money and they hate their jobs, I thought I was gonna work for you guys, but now, when I’m an adult, I refusing your application, because I don’t want to work for a greedy company, working for Google phones is better than working for a greedy company, guys be careful, they are scamming you for your money, and if you’re not careful, you could lose all your money from buying all those movies, Apple is just using you, they made this app so they can use you for money, so they can be rich billionaires, and BTW, this app is very boring, pretty soon I’m going to delete this app

Worst update ever
This new update that integrates the movies app with the Apple TV app is absolute garbage. Everything is harder to find and the removal of wishlist was just stupid and unnecessary. When I go to my library, I can no longer see the number of movies purchased. The removal of this number doesn’t make sense but it’s not even my biggest complaint about the library. When looking at movies in your library, you are no longer allowed to view the movie information landing page before actually playing the movie. You are forced to back out and go to the search bar and actually search for the movie you wanted to watch. This becomes impossible when you are someone like me with almost 1,000 movies owned and you’re browsing through trying to figure out what to watch. You’ve somehow managed to make an enjoyable and relaxing experience into a nightmare. I’d rather go and watch on any other streaming service with a functional user interface than watch on this app, which is unfortunate considering how much money I invested in my library collection. Fix this!

MLS pass disaster
The layout is terrible and the decision making that’s been put into this shows a clear disrespect for the user. By default scores aren’t hidden and there is no option in the app to hide scores you have to go through the settings on your iPhone/iPad (tv or computer each is separate!). The default playback for matches is the recap/highlight video which makes no sense, I’m not paying for highlight videos I’m paying to watch the full match! Instead if I want to watch the full match I have to scroll to the bottom of the match page and click an unclear/tiny button of text to select the whole match replay. What’s worse is the layout for the “how to watch” option places it directly below the individual match highlights which show the goals and who scored them - so much for not spoiling the match! I seriously can’t understand how this could be released in this terrible state. Apple used to be known for smart intuitive design but this is the worst layout I’ve ever seen for anything and the people involved should be fired. Please fix immediately.

Initially I only had TV+ from Apple One to get Arcade and Music, but I’ve found so much good writing and all-‘round well-crafted entertainment! Foundation, Slow Horses, Severance, Stillwater, “Acapulco!”, “Loot!”, specials like, “Schmigadoon!” (don’t knock it unless you're a fellow theater/musicals nerd—in which case, how could you?!)(lots of titles ending with a “!” happening on the service right now *lol*!), Wolfwalkers, amazing nature shows from David Attenborough and beyond featuring novel capture technology, compelling and insightful documentaries like Watch the Sound, 1971, Visible: Out on Television, intense adaptations like Pachinko, it’s a smorgasboard at a standard of quality I wouldn’t have pegged Apple at even with their taking a hard pivot away from the disastrous early days under Eddie Cue. Thankfully the ship has been righted and is cruising right along; I hope the same proves true for Arcade soon!

Quality TV Content | Terrible Interface
Pros: Love the content that has been coming out. My girlfriend and I love are so into Black Bird. I personally think some of the original shows are the best out there. Obviously Ted Lasso has deservedly received all of the accolades but they have some great writing and content with Emily Dickinson, See, Acapulco, Shining Girls, Morning Show, Truth, Defending Jacob, etc. Cons: 1. Limited content. Movie content has no depth and is not particularly great. TV content is slowly growing and is promising. 2. In my opinion the worst interface in streaming. Not user friendly at all. I just want to be able to have a “my list” instead it’s the next up area and takes you to a specific episode of whatever show you are watching. It’s supposed to be a value add so you can watch other streaming services from your Apple + app but it’s just a swing and a miss. People (or maybe just me) want to go into the apps and browse and look at all the content. Especially when they have great interfaces with categories. Apple+ needs to be able to click on movies or tv shows as a broad category and then have the all the subcategories: A-Z, comedy, action, thriller, etc. I assume it’s because they have a lack of content right now but still annoying. 3. Opportunity: would love to see NFL Redzone get picked up by Apple+. Love that Apple is getting into sports streaming with MLB and now MLS. Get redzone please!!!

Listen! I want to watch the original print of A Charlie Brown Christmas!
I know you have A Charlie Brown Christmas on this app, Apple, but can you restore the original print (original 1965 airing) and keep the Coca Cola sponsorship tags? I would appreciate it. Don’t alter anything, fix any errors, or remove the Coca Cola sponsorship tags (well, you’ll have to get permission from Coca Cola). The only changes you can make with the bonus original print are color correcting (the 16mm print has a strange tint), improving the audio (making it sound clear and removing the background static. No retiming the music or dialogue) and picture resolution, and remove shaky motion, scratches, and other stuff. And I want you to put it on Apple TV+ either before or by the time Winter 2023 comes if it doesn’t take too long. And remember, developers can respond to reviews.

Great shows on appleTV+
I got free subscription for AppleTV+ when I bought my iPad Pro for a year. I love the content it has. Being a Montessori teacher there’ s some great series for kids, which my class has been watching on Fridays. After my year ended I subscribed to it since there were so many great shows that I love. With one subscription you can also watch it in 6 devices which is a huge plus for me. Currently I am obsessed with the Basketball show “ Swagger” apart from tennis and cricket , I am clueless when it comes to sports. I am not even sure who Kevin Durant is but he sure does have compelling story to tell I also love the “Morning show, “Truth be told,” Shrink next door featuring the “ People Magazine’ s sexiest man . I even have my friends and family subscribing to AppleTV+. It is very reasonably priced and there’s something for everyone.

THE APP NEEDS MORE AUDIO AND VIDEO DETAIL OPTIONS
Apple TV - They need buttons for the 4k options The need markers or identifiers . Showing the video quality that is playing played at the moment . They need a better settings menu . To make sure that the subscriber is getting the most options for the video quality and the sound quality of the tv show or movie or documentary that subscriber is trying to watch . The menu needs to be easily accessible to the subscriber with all the different options for playable for the sound and the video . 4k , and 7.1 5.1 Dolby options . And hi res audio , lossless audio options . I love the different options of languages available for the viewing . I think apple is the leader is this regard. I have Spanish family . A lot of Muslims friends . WHO know very little of no English . So that fact apple has so many Options and the translations are very good is superb . Very very wonderful in helping us all enjoy the viewing experience and bridging the gap of cultural and language differences and difficulties and we can all understand and enjoy the show . Better menu options in the app . For sound and audio Great and wonderful job with the languages and translations. Promote it more . And how it can bring us all together from all over the world to enjoy the magic of the movies etc . Together.

Zero stars is not an option
This App is absolute garbage. I love the programing and shows available they’re fantastic but I’m going to have to cancel my subscription because it will NOT stay functional on a Roku TV I’m constantly having trouble signing in. Oh the problem isn’t me in fact it’s so common that they have multiple web pages dedicated to troubleshooting this very issue, obviously my money and the money of countless others isn’t good enough for Apple or this problem which is driving customers away would not still not be an issue. Ever since Steve Jobs died the quality of apple products has seriously fallen off and they are proving to be useless, oh how I miss Steve Jobs he made sure his people were such incompetent boobs who can’t make a user friendly product.

Very good content. Simplistic design.
Note: I have purchased over 300 movies and tv series. Overall I love Apple TV. THE GOOD + Good content: surprisingly pleasurable series like Ted Lasso. + Some very accurate “book marking” on where you left off with each program. + Got rid of EXTREME CLOSE UP of actor faces. Thank you for addressing this! (Seeing an actor’s face occupy 70 foot screen is very unsettling. Trust me it sucked.) THE BAD: Simplistic design. Simplistic means overly simplified: too simple. -Why does it become so hard to find anything? Now when I look to purchase, I feel like I’m looking at one shelf on one bookcase. With iTunes I felt like I was walking through a library of various collections. I know most people don’t like classic movies but I do and it’s extremely hard to find content. I suggest increasing the kinds of genre and subdivisions therein. I predict if you leave the design as it is now your sales will go down.

The worst UI Apple has ever approved
I’ll start by saying at least this app works. It’s designed to play videos, and play videos it does! But the interface is just…the absolute worst thing I’ve ever seen? Yeah, I think that’s fair to say. When browsing, there’s no easy was to organize. You have to scroll through endless random collections of things and once you scroll alllllll the way to the bottom, you finally find the option to sort through genres. Then when it comes to watching shows you already actively watch, good luck finding them. The “up next” section is supposed to help with that, but it’s just an endless list riddled with everything you’ve started watching at some point making it hard to find things you want. We NEED the option to add shows and movies that we stream to our libraries. That way, any time I want to catch up on a show, it’s right there waiting for me alongside my old iTunes purchases. A library is the answer. Not a thousand random lists of recommendations. Please stop trying to reinvent the wheel here.

Great Content is TOO DARK TO SEE!
How does an app have such a high rating when you can hardly even see what you’re watching? This is such a gross failure that can easily be fixed and there’s numerous complaints online about this. Apple continues to recommend changing phone, tablet or computer settings. However they know there’s a problem and do nothing to address it. Silo and Invasion are neat shows if I could see anything half the time. And yes I know how to operate my phone (14 pro max), the brightness can be all the way up, true tone off, auto brightness off. Doesn’t matter can hardly make out anything, even in a pitch black room. FIX THIS APPLE! As others have mentioned the navigation has much to be desired. Outside of clicking next episode when binging, there’s too much clicking around to find the next episode or view the list of episodes. Clunky interface that could easily be fixed. Click on a show, get a list of episodes, find the episode you’re watching.

App works, BUT!!!!!
The app itself works great! It is not difficult to find your way around. The MAJOR problem I have is with the service, more specifically the MLS Pass. We are big fans and appreciate the fact we can watch all the games in one spot. HOWEVER!!!!! Major glitches! If you don’t watch the game live, you will know the score before watching the game. I cannot make it on time to all the games and I want to experience it as if I’m watching live later that match day or next day!!! All you have to do, Apple, is NOT type the final score on screen. I don’t want to see it until I watch the actual game. NOW, considering I pay for the season pass, I expect to be able to watch the games for at least the next week. Match-day 10 was 4/29. On 4/30, next day, I attempted to watch the STL vs Portland game and all I got was a less than mediocre 6 minute game recap! I wanted the whole game! Yes, that is why I took 3 stars away. Do better, Apple! I know you can do better!

Used to be a 5-star app
I’m disappointed in the 16.2 version of the TV app. When I go to the TV app, my primary intention is to watch something I’ve queued up or to search for something I want to watch. My secondary intention is to browse. With the previous app, its design matched my intentions perfectly. First, I started with my Up Next content prominently at top and then when I felt like browsing or couldn’t find anything interesting in my Up Next I could simply swipe down and explore promoted and suggested content. That design made great sense to me and felt like Apple design. The new design feels like Google/Amazon/Roku design which is less focused on the user experience and more focused on advertising and promotion. By putting promotional content at the top, it changes the focus of the TV app to be on promoting content that may or may not be relevant to the user. Additionally, it now takes two swipes to get to your Up Next selections which adds friction and mitigates one of the TV app’s best features which was that it brought together your shows from (almost) all streaming apps. I hope Apple will either revert/change/improve this design or give us the ability to customize it. I’ve found myself returning to my old behavior which is to just launch the streaming app that I know has the content I want to watch at that moment which is sad because the previous TV app was so great at being a one-stop-shop.

Great TV
So I was a little skeptical at first; I watched a couple of shows that didn't really fit my taste and the navigation took a minute to get used to. I thought, "most of the programming that I want to watch cost extra, why would I pay a subscription to browse a catalogue?" Then I found Ted Lasso, and Severence, Foundation, Shrinking and Morning Show. The list goes on. These are shows that when the credits roll I take a deep breath and process just how good it was. The writing, acting and filming on these shows and others are great, the streaming quality is A+ and clear. I have had other popular services buffer or reduce quality on my connection but never AppleTV+. The service seems to be growing its list of great shows faster than I can keep up. I am excited to see what the future holds on AppleTV+.

Best TV Ever….
Apple TV plus has made watching TV more fun and engaging. I’m always falling asleep to the white noise at the end of my night. The next evening I can tune in and select the program and pick up right where I left off. I get to watch my TV selections everywhere and almost anywhere. I’m still stuck to DVD’s and some cable channels. It’s due to my lack of tech savvy skills. There are ways to stream? Them? I’m just not that invested in learning how yet. Especially since there are thousands of selections of Apple plus. I’ll never catch up with all the content on this package. Original productions and exclusives are mostly better than or as good as theatre releases. I am so blessed to be able to enjoy TV at home in my own comfort and safe zone. Plus my snax and beverages are better and less expensive sometimes…

Data hog and Too Little Content
Started at 4 stars but knocked a star off for lack of original content and the time new content is released. Knocked another star off for the totally ridiculous data consumption, both streaming and downloading, on both iPhone and iPad. I like to download shows and movies in their respective apps so there’s no chance of buffering if I’m in a bad area or Verizon’s and AT&T have decided to throttle traffic in the area I’m in. Apple TV+ uses huge amounts of data, both streaming and downloading. The same movie I can download in Disney+ or Netflix at 500Mb is almost 3Gb with downloads set to fast and SD for the smallest size available. A single episode in a weekly shows comes in at over 1Gb compared to less than 200Mb in other apps. This is a really ridiculous problem that Apple needs to address sooner than later but even after almost two years of complaints about nothing gets done. Apple doesn’t care about data caps or data hogging. To top it all off, they have very little original content and when they do it’s few and far in between and shows only run for a short season. Apple does do some good shows and movies when it finally does but it comes at a much steeper cost than the Keep all this in mind before using Apple TV+.

WWII Submarine Rescue
We don’t realize the great sacrifices that so many men, women & children have made because of brutal regimes with tainted propaganda that is designed to get their soldiers to perform unbelievable cruelty to anyone that gets in their way! The end justifies the means…. The mostly “never before seen videos and photos” contained real life accounts showing the sacrifices and most exciting escapes & rescues that just jump out at your emotions. I never realized that there were 40 men, women & children rescued by a submarine crew of 80 with one brave missionary priest who refused to be rescued with his wife & children. He refused to board the submarine against General MacArthur’s orders as he was following MacArthur’s Boss’s orders (God Almighty’s orders). So that brave man returned back to the island in order to continue to help & minister to his other family of courageous Philippinos. Really well documented and well done!

Content? Great. Everything else? Not so much.
I love what Apple TV has to offer, but not how they offer it. This app has some issues. That is, when it will load. Half the time I spend more time struggling to get whatever I’m watching to start than I do actually watching it. It isn’t my wifi, every other streaming service app on my phone works just fine in the same circumstances. I’ve tried everything to make it load quicker, or at all for that matter, but nothing works. Besides that, there isn’t a watchlist, which isn’t that big of a concern, just something I think might help improve the experience. You can save to “Up Next” but then things just get mixed in with what you are currently watching and it gets cluttered. Honestly, it’s an ok app. I think if they went back and fixed the bugs and added a couple of features for users to simplify things it could be better. Anyway, I’m going to go try to get my show to load now. Wish me luck.

NOT FAMILY FRIENDLY
There is not a way to filer out rated R shows. I know it’s the way society is now but come on! At least give me a filter so I can sift through and find the shows suitable for us. It’s either TV MA or children’s cartoons. I mean come on apple! Make more clean content. I scrolled though and found all the PG and PG-13 movies to put on my watch list and it’s not a lot. I did watch the movie Finch and that was a great story, I’ll give them that. I was excited to watch emancipation but that was rated R. But for everything else, cut out the language! Can we even have clean movies these days? There’s not great of content on Apple TV. I’m using my three free months from my purchase and there’s no way I will be paying for this in my own. Especially when there are so many streaming services these days. Does not compete in my mind. So apple if you see this. I would like to at least see a place where I can cut out the TVMA and R. Please add that feature.

Compounding dysfunction, bottom of the barrel art
This app continues to degrade and evolve in to deeper and deeper dysfunction, both on the iPhone, and on the Apple TV. It's embarrassing to see this for a company like Apple, who should be focusing on their original value proposition of keeping things simple. Instead they over, complicate everything, and now they're even numbering each of their new releases. And now the new releases aren't even new releases their mixed in with a bunch of old movies. So every direction you go you feel like you're being controlled by Apple instead of served up what you're looking for. their new format just sends us away. We go elsewhere as much as we can now. Also, the Apple content is the absolute evolved bottom of the barrel for human artistic creations in the realm of television and film. There is a deep darkness that under lies all of its content, making every experience one, where you feel like you have to take a spiritual shower afterward. why such an institution has degraded so deeply is not a mystery as this is what happens when power collects. It's just greatly disappointing with all the resource that they would create such shortsighted, hollow, garbage that is heavily influenced by toxic mainstream media, versus what people really like and think in the real world. I used to be the biggest Apple fan. Now I do all I can to go elsewhere as I feel like I'm controlled, corrupted, and disrespected as a consumer to encounter this brand.

Beyond disgusted!
Don’t bother purchasing any movie or tv show stations from within the app because none of them work and they’ve known for over a year and still have not bothered to fix it. They don’t refund your money. They keep you on their phone by transferring from one department to another and another and another so they’re getting paid while you’re wasting your time. Then you get the “ Senior advisor Bob” Who does his thorough investigation in moments and it’s the HBO app or the SHO app or the AMC or Britbox app ~ whatever app it might be. It’s never their fault and they never make it right despite the fact that you’ve spent all this money on their crap product and their crap service so - Apple, advice from a former customer spend some of your trillions of dollars on getting effective helpful support, and 😉 senior advisers to handle your screwup‘s for the little people out here spending all our money on your ridiculous crap products. Your “support” or lack thereof is decidedly worse than you crap products.
